Manic Monday: Post-Fathers Day Edition
This Monday isn't just any normal Manic Monday: it's the Monday after Father's Day! No ties for Yours Truly this year. Of course, there was no breakfast in bed, either (not that there ever was.) This year, it was all about the Peace and Quiet. I spent the day doing not a whole lot, though I did go out and visit the in-laws on Saturday, and had to go shopping for a few items on Sunday. And, of course, there was the obligatory Father's Day Dinner, celebrated at a local Tex-Mex place, for one very special reason:

Yep, that is the world-famous (if your world happens to end at Beltway 8) queso dip from the former restaurant known as Felix. Former, because Felix closed its doors recently. But their queso dip lives on, having been picked up by El Patio, and currently being served at their restaurants on Westheimer (near Hillcroft) and on Brazos near McGowan (in Midtown).
As I pointed out, no ties this year. Which doesn't mean "no presents".

Next assignment: go out and videotape all sorts of mundane stuff. Then figure out how to reactivate my YouTube account.

Or, you can head up 288/San Jacinto into Midtown, and salivate all over some chips and cheese yourself. Oh, and Spec's is just across the street, along with The Coffee Groundz. Lots of liquid goodness within a quick walk.
