A proud veteran
She may have missed Pearl Harbor, but she served with distinction. In the Grand Fleet during WWI, she helped meet the defeated High Seas Fleet at their surrender. During WWII, she served on 'Neutrality Patrol', then after we entered, her guns were heard from the beaches of Normandy to Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

| A silent sentry, looking out over waters she used to travel |
Now, she sits at her berth, her guns and engines silenced by the passage of time, surpassed by new technologies. However, her size and appearance still inspire awe in those who gaze upon her, their imaginations taking them back in time when she and her sister were the most powerful weapons on the planet.
