MamaDramaConQueso II
Today, we had the second ever MamaDramaConQueso. Since it is the second, it was named MamaDramaConQueso II, or MDcQ II for short. The brainfartchild of Jenny (The Bloggess and MamaDrama) and Laura (Blog con Queso), it provides local bloggers an opportunity to get hammered and watch Jenny dance on the tables nekkid place faces (real faces!) to names (real names!), and practice their socialization skills, while enjoying tasty Tex-Mex in a family-friendly (well, sort of) environment.
This time, the son decided to stay home, so the wife and I made it a date. We had a chance to meet lots of new folks, and greet some we had seen last time. As is the norm, I took along the camera, and got a whole lotta photos to blackmail folks with share with y'all. Here is just a sample, arranged to tell a story:
Welcome to MamaDramaConQueso II, where we had
lots of people, talking.
We had
Bloggers looking at the camera.
We had
Bloggers engaged in conversation.
We had geeky bloggers bring geeky things, which led to questions like
How does this &#*$% thing open up!?
Resulting in this:
Oh, THAT's how!
Then, we were treated to a show when
Jenny and Laura danced on the table.
Jenny said "I'll dance for peanuts" -
and someone obliged her.
Some bloggers
watched the action,
While others were
engrossed with the new toys.
And they ended up
attracting a crowd.
Yet other bloggers just took the opportunity to say "HI!", including
Min and Polimom.
Of course, there was food, covering all the food groups:
Queso, eggs, beans, guacamole, and chips -
Along with
Chocolate and bacon!
And, of course, we can't forget, every kid's most favoritist animal of all:
PIGEONS!
NOTE: These, and other, photos will be posted on Flickr, once I get a

Great photos! Thanks for letting me post a couple on my blog.
Folks, it is time to stand for a moment of silence. For, yea verily, we are on the cusp of a whole new epoch in the Era of the Internet, an epoch which will re-define the entire concept of online awesomeness, in a way that, when our great-great-great-...
Last night, while amusing myself by huffing Easy Cheese*, the following realization hit me like a cold, wet Humboldt Squid:
I find myself in possession of a terrible secret. A secret that will likely prove more disruptive to the planet than global wa...
Last week, the local blogosphere lost one of their own:
Lose an Eye, It's a SportR.I.P.
While it might be said that this is just the cycle of blog-life (blogs are born, they flourish for awhile, eventually they grow old and die), there is something a...
