MamaDramaConQueso: the photos

06/17/07 | by etee [mail] | Categories: People, Taste of Texas

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet several members of Houston's blogging community at the first ever

MamaDamaConQueso Is ON

It was a real blast (I think I mentioned that already.) Several dozen bloggers, representing the vast diversity of the Houston area, and a wide range of interests, getting together because they have:

  1. a love of Tex-Mex, and
  2. nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon.

A rainy Saturday afternoon, admittedly, so spending a few hours in the company of fellow bloggers wasn't that much of a sacrifice ;) Actually, the food was good, and the company -- even better.

I took the opportunity to bring the 5D and an external flash along, so I was able to get some shots of the people there. I have uploaded them to Flickr, and if you will click on the photo below, you can view the entire set:

One caveat, along with a plea: I promised myself that I would make sure and write everyone's name down, so I could identify them on the photos correctly. Well, I forgot. So, if you would please help me and identify the folks in the photos, you would earn my everlasting gratitude. Or, in real time, for the next 5 minutes or so. Which, in Web 2.0 time, is an eternity.

While I don't want to post all the photos on this page (it would simply take too long to load them all at once), there is one I just couldn't resist. Along with the Art Car Weekend and the Cow Parade, Houston is privileged to play host to Mindy Sterba's Shoe Collection - one of the more eclectic assortments of footwear known to man. Here's an example:

Hope everyone enjoyed the outing... I know I did! 'Til next time... adios.

Great pics! I could probably help you with naming them. But it might be hard over the email/blog comments.

It was great to see you! I can't wait for the next one.

I had no idea Mindy had such LARGE feet - no wonder she tries to cover up with such esoteric shoes

The FlickR photo of Reggie, Min and Violet is really very nice photography. The composition is interesting and the texture of the wall between the three black clad figures in facial profile makes this quite aesthetically pleasing! Good job!

Great series of photos! Thanks for taking pictures. I can't seem to ever remember to get out of the house with my camera these days. I'll have to link back to you when I write about it. :)

P.S. I am in the sleeveless blue shirt. Kyla from The Journey is in the striped shirt, by me at the table.
