Wintery lake scenic

It is always a good idea to carry a camera wherever you go -- because you never know when that 'perfect picture' is going to come along.
Yesterday, we went over to the in-laws. It was a typical, dreary winter day, raining off and on, that type of thing. When we arrived, I noticed the sky had changed again, and so I was looking for photo opportunities. Sure 'nuf, when we walked into their house, I looked out the back window and saw what I perceived as a definitive "winter scenic" - at least as definitive as one can get in a place where it doesn't snow very often. Even better, when I opened the glass door, the image was still every bit as good as I hoped!
So, I stepped out, pulled out the DiMAGE X-1, made sure I didn't have any really stupid setting like "macro" selected that would mess up the shot, and snapped a few. I tried several combinations, and this is the one I liked the best. While I only took it at 1200x1600 resolution, it got the colors right, and if you look carefully (especially if you could see the full-size photo), you would notice some ducks coming in for a landing on the lake surface.
And, now for the photo:
