Our very own Houston Chronicle has gotten into the blogosphere in a pretty major way. Not only are some of their staff members writing blogs, but they are also recruiting readers to blog about various topics of interest. It appears to be part of the Chronicle's efforts to change the way that information is disseminated from a traditional publish/subscribe model (where the subscriber simply consumes what the publisher produces) to a conversational model (where the publisher and subscriber interact to provide new perspectives on the news, and facilitate access to information that was available, but had to be searched for.

Such is the case with Shutterblog, a photography blog by Stephanie Davis. Stephanie is a free-lance photographer, and a veteran of the downtown commute (based on her "Metro Moment" at the end of each entry.) Her writing style is casual and light, with a touch of mild sarcasm here and there (something I appreciate), and even though educational in nature, she doesn't talk down to her audience (Stephen from Top Chef, read and heed: if you were more like this, you might come across as less of a self-important, arrogant, snobbish, nose-in-the-air jackass.)

Certainly worth a read.

This is my photoBlog. On, this blog, I will publish some of my photos for others to enjoy, as well as articles, opinions, and sometimes just musings about photography I think will be of interest to others.
