The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: 18-Jul-10

The bad: yesterday, I managed to brick my iPhone while trying to update the iOS to 4.0.1. Even worse - I was on call this weekend.

The good: the genius at the Apple Store was able to restore the phone in about 10 minutes (even though it took me another hour or so to put all the stuff back into it.)

The ugly: this update was about changing the algorithm for calculating the number of bars (representing signal strength) shown. And, it was almost 580 MB! </facepalm>
