Things To Do in H-Town: The Health Museum

Yesterday, I went to the John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science in Houston. Among the reasons I went was to see the seasonal exhibit on Animation Featuring Cartoon Network. While I am still trying to figure out the relationship between cartoons and health (yeah, my son tried that line when he was younger, and I never bought it then, either), both my son (who is now an adult) and I found the exhibit interesting.
One of the items in the exhibit was an early "flip video", a machine with individual pictures and a hand crank. By turning the crank, you would make the pictures flip, thus producing a moving image. Here is a short video of the animation machine in operation:
In addition to this exhibit, you can see other interesting exhibits including: Amazing Body Pavilion, You: The Exhibit, and a 3D movie about the creepy, crawly things that live on your body at the McGovern 4D Theater.
