What he said:
“After reviewing all the facts in the case of Robert Lee Thompson, who had a murderous history and participated in the killing of (Rahim), I have decided to uphold the jury's capital murder conviction and capital punishment for this heinous crime.”
What he was really thinking: My portrait showed me some grey hairs, and told me that only another sacrifice will restore my 'do to it's glorious greatness. So, you see, I had no choice: I had to put this man to death.
