A significant step toward improving safety on our highways was taken today, as driving was prohibited while talking on a cell phone.
A spokesman for the government told this reporter: "The human mind can't handle two things at once. Since people are totally unwilling to set priorities, we are forced to do it for them. Therefore, we are sending a clear message to people on our roads: when the cell phone rings, take your hands off the wheel and quit driving the car. Concentrate on that cell phone call - it deserves your full attention. Then, when you are finished, you may resume driving."
Next up: the government takes on a bill which would outlaw walking and chewing gum at the same time.
