Congresswoman embarks on diplomatic journey, almost starts war over access to camera

Last week, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) embarked on a special diplomatic mission to Venezuela, in an attempt to repair the strained relationship between the two nations. This was done as part of the new Democratic foreign policy initiative of "abject apology to all the two-bit tinhorn lefty tyrants worldwide".

Unfortunately, Rep. Jackson-Lee's journey almost ended in tragedy, when she and Venezuelan President-For-Life Hugo Chavez got into a slight altercation. After successfully negotiating a resumption of the sale of F-14 spare parts to the newly-announced Venezuelan Soviet Socialist Republic for resale to Iran, she joined the President for his weekly 19-hour television address to announce this breakthrough. However, upon spotting the television cameras, Rep. Jackson-Lee immediately ran to position herself in front of them, knocking President Chavez off the podium. The two started to scuffle, but security personnel on loan from "The Jerry Springer Show" which was being taped nearby responded, and were able to restrain the combatants before the conflict escalated into a full-blown hockey game.
