Bible, Cross ordered removed from church
A judge has ruled that a local church must remove the cross and Bible from its sanctuary. Finding that the tax-exempt status of the church is the equivalent of taxpayer funding, the judge said that "the presence of blatently religious symbols is inconsistent with the First Amendment principles this country was founded on."
The same judge then ruled that the new laws against the use of any communications devices by drivers on state-funded roads must also apply to pilots on taxiways at the local airport.
